We send out the online courses three times a day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. To complete the American Heart Association course, you’ll need a computer or tablet (smartphones won’t work).
The course adapts to your existing knowledge. This means the duration varies based on your experience and skill level:
BLS: 1–2 hours
ACLS or PALS: 3–4 hours
Here’s the good news—you can start and stop whenever you like. There’s no need to finish it all in one go. Just progress at your own pace.
Taking your ACLS or PALS course? Simply show up at your testing location on the date and time you selected. Be sure to bring your RQI login credentials and the entry instructions sent to you via email or text.
Once you arrive, put on a pair of gloves and log in using the computer’s keyboard or touch screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin your skills session.
Here’s how it works: The Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM) will guide you step-by-step through the skills testing. There won’t be an instructor physically present, but don’t worry—our team is just a phone call away if you have any questions. We’re here to help and ensure the process goes smoothly.
Taking a BLS or CPR and First-Aid course? Here’s what to expect.
On your scheduled registration date and time, arrive at the testing location you selected. Bring your phone with you—your instructor will reach out via text or use the room’s cameras to initiate your skills testing.
A virtual American Heart Association instructor will guide you step-by-step through the required skills. Once you’ve completed the session, you’ll receive your certification card the very same day.
Pick up a free keychain CPR training mask on the day of your course! Available in a range of colors, this compact and handy tool is perfect for both practice and emergencies.
A CPR mask is essential when performing CPR. It ensures safety by reinforcing universal precautions, making it easier and safer to provide rescue breaths during emergencies.
Once you complete your American Heart Association training, we’d love to hear your feedback! Leaving us a review on Google, Yelp, or Facebook helps support our women-owned business and allows us to reach more people like you.
Performing chest compressions during CPR can strain your hands, wrists, arms, and body. It’s intense, and if you have pre-existing conditions like pain, carpal tunnel, weakness, or injuries, you may want to wait until you’re feeling better before taking a class.
Feeling fatigued or running out of time while working on your skills? Just call our office, and we’ll happily reschedule you at no extra cost. If you’d prefer, you can stay in the room to finish practicing whenever you feel ready.
Reschedule/Cancellation Policy
We don’t offer refunds once you register. However, you can reschedule any time by paying a $30 reschedule fee for each change.
